Follow these steps to send an SMS to one of your contacts:
Navigate to the Contact:
Go to the Contacts section in the left-hand menu.
Find and click on the name of the contact you wish to message (e.g., "Raya Sharpe").
Ensure you are on the Conversations tab within the contact's profile.
Open the SMS Composer:
On the right side of the Conversations area, you'll see buttons for "Email" and "SMS".
Click the SMS button:
Select Your Sending Number ("From"):
An SMS composition window will appear. The "From" field shows the phone number the message will be sent from.
If you have multiple phone numbers associated with your account, you can click the dropdown in the "From" field to select which number to use. Often, your primary number will be selected by default.
Confirm Recipient Number ("To"):
The "To" field will automatically populate with the contact's name and the primary phone number listed in their contact details on the left side of the screen. Verify this is the correct number.
Write Your Message:
Type your message in the text box labeled "Type your message here...". Note the character count indicator (e.g., 0/1000).
Send the Message:
Click the Send button below the message box.
You should see a confirmation message like "Message sent successfully!" appear briefly at the top.
View Sent Message in History:
Your sent message will immediately appear in the conversation history list below the composer.
It will show the time it was sent (e.g., "0 seconds ago") and its status. It will update to "DELIVERED" once the system confirms delivery to the recipient's carrier.
Incoming Message Notification: When a contact sends an SMS message to the phone number you used to contact them, it will appear in their conversation history.
View Received Message:
The new message will appear in the conversation list, usually indicated as "Received From [Contact Name]".
Click on the message summary to expand it and read the full text.
The message will be marked with a "RECEIVED" status and the time it arrived
All SMS messages (sent and received) and emails exchanged with this contact are displayed in the Conversations tab.
The list is sorted chronologically, with the most recent interactions (Sent or Received) appearing at the top.
