I. Buying a New Phone Number
Navigate to Phone System:
Go to Settings in the main left-hand menu.
Under the Communication category in the Settings menu, click on Phone System.
Initiate Purchase:
You will see a list of your current phone numbers (if any).
Click the + New Number button located towards the top right of the Phone Numbers list.
Configure Your New Number:
An "Add Phone Number" pop-up window will appear.
Name: Enter a descriptive name for this phone number (e.g., "Main Office Line", "Sales SMS Number"). This is for your internal reference.
Country: Select the country for the phone number (e.g., United States).
Prefix (Optional): You can enter a desired area code (e.g., 404).
Note: If a number is available in your desired area code, the system will assign one. If not, the system will assign a number from a different, available area code within the selected country.
Review the monthly cost indicated for the number.
Complete Purchase:
Click the Buy New Number button.
Confirmation:
A confirmation message will appear indicating "The number has been configured in your account."
Click Close.
Verify Number:
You will now see the newly purchased number added to your list on the Phone Numbers page.
II. Setting a Primary Number (Optional)
You can designate one number as your primary number, often used as the default caller ID for outgoing calls or messages.
Edit the Number: Find the number you wish to set as primary in the list and click the Edit link next to it.
Mark as Primary: On the number's configuration screen, check the box next to Mark as Primary.
Save Changes: Click the Save Details button. You should see success messages confirming the update.
