If I assign a name to my agent on the configuration page, will that be the name it uses during calls?
The name you set on the configuration page is just an internal label. The name the agent uses on calls is defined in its prompt.
For example, you might label the agent as “John AI” or “ACME Virtual Assistant” in the configuration, but in the prompt, you can have it introduce itself as “Derrick.”
Do I need to pick a voice that matches the language being spoken?
Yes, the chosen voice must correspond with the language you want the agent to use.
Why does changing advanced voice settings sometimes make the agent sound better or worse?
We have fine-tuned the default advanced voice settings for optimal performance in most situations. Adjustments are possible, but we recommend only making small tweaks to avoid degrading voice quality.
Why is my agent leaving messages on voicemail?
While our voicemail detection is highly accurate, certain voicemail recordings—especially those that start with the recipient’s own voice—can cause the system to misinterpret them as a live response. For improved handling of voicemails, you can switch your voicemail detection mode to “Time-based.”
Why can’t my inbound agent use variables?
Inbound agents don’t have prior knowledge of who’s calling, so variables are not supported. However, you can use Custom Actions and connect APIs to fetch relevant data during the call if you want your agent to reference external information.
Does the platform offer any special prompt templates?
Yes, we provide several prompt templates in the templates section.
Do I need to purchase a number from your platform, or can I use my own phone system?
If you have Twilio account with required A2P 10DLC approval or the regulatory bundle approvals, you can always use the Twilio SID and Auth tokens in your AiGent account
What is the limit on concurrent calls for accounts and subaccounts?
Concurrent call limits depend on your plan. If you need higher concurrent calls, please place a vendor order via inbox. Please note that the concurrent calls are charged at $7 per call.
Is billing done at the beginning or the end of the month?
Billing is based on your renewal cycle. You can find your upcoming billing date under Settings > Plan and Billing in the “Next billing” section.
How does the knowledge base function?
The knowledge base stores detailed information that the agent can refer to during conversations. It’s designed to hold larger sets of data that you might not want to include directly in the agent’s prompt.
How can I purchase an Australian phone number?
You’ll need to provide a valid Australian address. Once you submit the address, you’ll be able to acquire an Australian number.
